About the Founder · President – Lotus Trust Harur
Mr K. Venkatachalam serves as the President of Lotus Trust Harur, bringing together academic depth, psychological expertise and disciplined institutional leadership. With a strong foundation in psychology and a deep understanding of human behaviour, he has dedicated his work to building structured systems of care for vulnerable children and communities.
His leadership is guided by three principles: dignity, structure and continuity. He believes care must extend beyond immediate relief and evolve into life-building pathways that support stability, education, skill development and long-term independence.

Over the past few years, Lotus Trust Harur has evolved from a grassroots outreach initiative into a structured Integrated Child Care Development Foundation. This transformation reflects our commitment to building systems that are sustainable, accountable and development-focused.
Our work is guided by a clear framework that integrates care, education, health, skills and leadership development. We believe children require continuity of support across life stages, not isolated interventions.
From Harur and through district-level outreach, we serve children in need of care and protection, children with intellectual disabilities, and vulnerable communities requiring structured support.
